The Austrian guitarist Florian Palier grew up in a family of artists and was exposed to music and the arts since early childhood. He enjoyed his first guitar lessons with his father Johann Palier. He later studied with Marco Diaz Tamayo. In 2015 he graduated from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna where he studied in the class of Álvaro Pierri. He was further influenced artistically through lessons and master classes with Pepe Romero, Dusan Bogdanovic and the Los Angeles Quartet among others.
As a soloist, Florian Palier is mainly active in the field of classical guitar. However, he also has many years of experience as a jazz guitarist, has collaborated with artists from the electronic music scene, and is also familiar with historical performance practice. He imparts his wide range of knowledge to his students of his own guitar class at the Conservatory in Graz (Austria).
Florian Palier is a member of the Foundation of Yehudi Menuhin “Life Music Now“ and the winner of numerous competitions in Austria and abroad. His awards include 1st prizes at the international “Anna Amalia competition“ in Weimar (Germany), at the International Guitar Festival in Kutna Hora (Czech Republic) and most recently at the “Twents Guitar Festival“ in Enschede (Netherlands). Concerts, radio and TV recordings have taken him across Europe, the US and Taiwan.
